Essential information
We offer room bookings in either the reading room, screening room or canteen.
Timings generally on offer are Monday – Tuesday (PM only) and Wednesday – Saturday (AM & PM) only.
We will prioritise bookings for those involved in grassroots organising & campaigning, self-education and politically oriented cultural experimentation.
Due to our charitable status we cannot host any paid events in our building. We will only host events that are advertised as free and/or with an optional donation.
The rooms are offered on a comradely do-it-yourself basis so we ask that you be prepared to set up and tidy the space yourselves.
We do not offer space for hot-desking, co-working or studying.
What to expect
Our bookable spaces are extremely popular all year round. We ask for a minimum of 10 days notice when making a booking request as it may take at least a week for us to get back to you.
Given the amount of requests we receive exceeds our capacity to host them we may not always be able to accommodate your booking request.
Bookings are confirmed via email only. If you need to cancel your booking we ask that you give at least 24 hours notice and cancel directly using the link provided in the confirmation email.
If your room booking is rejected it is usually because the room is not available or we have chosen to prioritise a different booking. We try our best to distribute room access fairly so please do not take it personally if we are not able to accommodate you.
If you would like a recurring booking, i.e. weekly, fortnightly, monthly etc. please do not fill in the form and email us directly using the heading ‘Recurring Booking’ in-formation@maydayrooms.org with details about your request. You should use the fields in the form below as a template.
