Throughout April and June, we plan to run a series of eight workshops, bringing together 20 participants to collectively learn about how gentrification affects community integrity and highlight the importance of grassroots direct action and community-led organising. The programme will include radical walks, public discussions, print-making workshops, talks with local campaigners, as well as sessions aimed at including Indigenous and decolonial perspectives on gentrification and climate justice. The intention is to create relationships and provide tools for organising that will continue to grow beyond this project.
The workshops in April will be held on Saturday 6th, Saturday 13th, Saturday 20th and Thursday 25th.
Dates in June will be agreed with the participants.
