We have recently been sorting through our collection of US Underground Newspaper from the late 60s and early 70s. These are very fragile but stunning in both their layout, radical outlooks and solidarities between different militant groups from Gay Liberation Front, Students for a Democratic Society, the Weather Underground and the Black Panther Party.
Publications of this collection include RAT Subterranean News, Women’s LibeRATion, Old Mole, The Hard Core, and SDS: New Left Notes. Of particular interest is the transformation of RAT into Women’s LibeRATion after the take over of the paper by W.I.T.C.H. — Women’s International Terrorist Conspiracy from Hell
