Anarchist Research Group – Lisa Mckenzie on Class Inequality

Lisa Mckenzie, author of last year’s widely accaimed account of council estate life, Getting By – which Donald MacLean calls “One of the most powerful celebrations of working-class and multi-cultural Britain I have ever read” – examines the sociology of inner-city council estates in terms of the oral history and ethnological research she has conducted in locations she herself grew up in. Lisa Mckenzie is a research fellow in the Department of Sociology at the L.S.E.
