Christopher Buxton talk
March 17, 2018 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm GMT
In January 2018 the London Bulgarian Association launched a series of talks named Lifelong Friends of Bulgaria with special guests who know Bulgaria and Britain and can speak about their cultural differences. The talks aim at enhancing understanding of Britain and building relationships between Bulgarians and Londoners.
Our next guest will be Christopher Buxton, who was an English teacher in the Bourgas English language high school during the 1970s. Today, Christopher is the author of several novels, in which he entangles both British and Bulgarian history.
Christopher also translates from Bulgarian to English, and recently published a poetry book with translations of some of the most well-known Bulgarian poems.
Hosts of this talk: Borimir Totev – Programme Coordinator at Pushkin House, and Boyko Boev – author of the website bulgariansinlondon.com and Chair of the London Bulgarian Association.
The event is free to attend, any donation is appreciated.
