THE HARD QUESTION OF MATERIALITY: ADORNO READING GROUP
Sunday 9th September, 12:30 – 3 pm @ MayDay Rooms
Using the work of Shoenberg, Webern and John Cage, Adorno’s negative dialectics points to what must be done to create a new philosophy, one in which the individual is both affective and effective. Combining feelings and physics individually, and collectively, developing groups within groups, within groups using temporal boundaries.
On October 9th, a round table conversation will take place with Bill Thompson around Adorno’s Lecture 4, on whether philosophy is possible without a system. This is an opportunity to build up a group that challenges classical philosophy with an alternative to authoritarian order.
