World in Action: The Ghost Train
The first of a two-part series documenting the harrowing conditions experienced by many in the UK prison system. The documentary also reveals how the home office, when faced with evidence of serious assaults against prisoners, tried to buy their silence. The second part focuses on long-term segregation: prisoners locked in solitary confinement, sometimes for years. The program features audio recordings made by PSN member John Bowden.
