Collective Creativity will lead a workshop creating a zine of collected manifestos of our individual and collective statements on struggle and survivorship in the arts.
Join Evan Ifekoya, Raisa Kabir, and Raju Rage at Mayday Rooms to create a zine using the new Risograph workshop tools.
Collective Creativity is an intentional informal non-hierarchical collective space created to share ideas to reflect on texts/films/art (and more) in a group setting, that inspire, interest or provoke us and/or our practice. Collective Creativity is a group formed out of necessity, to carve collaborative space outside of the institutional framework where a specific Black QTIPOC (queer/trans* people of colour) voice and experience could be nurtured. Their most recent project is a publication inspired by the legacy of zine-making, titled ‘Surviving Art School’ and published by Nottingham Contemporary.,which explores surviving and thriving in art school as BAME/artist of colour.
