MayDay Rooms will be closed for August and will reopen in September. See you then!
Good news everyone! On 21st April we’re finally resuming archival visits! We’ll be open for appointments on Wednesdays and Thursdays 11am to 6pm. Email us to book a visit! And keep an eye on our newsletter as more events and publications are on the way!
Covid19 updates- November 2020
It’s been a great couple of months having our building open and being able to let visitors look at the archives. Unfortunately, given the new lockdown measures, we will have to suspend archive visits for a while. Please do continue sending us archival enquiries though as we might be able to help, either by digitising materials or by directing you to our online catalogue and resources.
MayDay Rooms is cautiously re-opening!
MDR will be open to the public again but in order to ensure the safety of our visitors and the people working from the building there will be a few changes in terms of room bookings and archive visits.
Archive visits will be by appointment only on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, but if you need another day we are happy to try and accommodate it. There will be no more than 2 visits per day so that we leave enough time to ventilate and sanitise the room properly before the next visitor comes in. There will be a room dedicated only to archive visitors with sanitising liquid and gloves handy. We will ask visitors to bring their own mask and use it while in the public spaces of the building.
Please email in-formation@maydayrooms.org to book an appointment.
Room bookings will only be offered on Monday, Tuesday and Friday evenings, and Saturday daytime for now. There will only be one meeting per day with a maximum of 6 people in the room at each time. Please email fani@maydayrooms.org to book a room and make sure you send your enquiry a week in advance by Tuesday 11pm.
