Worker/Artist Part 2: Talking Objects (invite only)

On Friday and Saturday (October 16-17) Matthijs de Bruijne and Cecilia Vallejos will visit MayDay Rooms to discuss their work with the Cleaners Union of the Netherlands (part of the Federation FNV http://schoongenoeg.nu) with the Independent Workers of Great Britain (IWGB). Key to this practice has been a dialogue about how ‘visualisation’ – of ideas, language, campaigns – can support and strengthen the collective demands of workers.

Therefore, we invite you to bring an object connected with your place of work. It could be anything, but this particular object should provide a clue to the context in which your work takes place. In other words, it needs to be an object that can “talk” about the working conditions you deal with on a daily basis….”
